Similar Species: Acronicta parallela (Grote, 1879) is best separated by DNA or genitalia. Acronicta mansueta (Smith, 1897) is best separated by DNA or genitalia. Pinned specimens of related species. Taxonomic Notes: Acronicta falcula (Grote, 1877) formerly included as synonyms A. parallela and A. mansueta, Lafontaine & Schmidt (2011), Zookeys, 149: 153.
