Taxonomic Notes: Tripudia goyanensis is a member of the Tripudia flavofasciata complex which also includes T. flavofasciata, versutus and undescribed species as revealed by DNA barcoding. Maculation and location appear to be of limited value in assigning specimens to species, Chris Schmidt and Don Lafontaine (pers. comm. 11/10/2017).
  • Barcode of Life (BOLD) - Caution: DNA barcode provides evidence of relatedness, not proof of identification, and some BOLD specimens shown may not be sequenced.
