Synonymy: Oribates versutus Edwards, 1881
Taxonomic Notes: Tripudia versutus is a member of the Tripudia flavofasciata complex which also includes T. flavofasciata, goyanensis and undescribed species as revealed by DNA barcoding. Maculation and location appear to be of limited value in assigning specimens to species, Chris Schmidt and Don Lafontaine (pers. comm. 11/10/2017).
