Similar Species:
  • There is only one species known in the genus (described from Puerto Rico) with a synonym (griseirena Hampson) described from Grenada and St Vincent. Recent work with DNA suggests that there may be two species involved and, if this proves to be the case, the photos by Father de Silva from Bequia Island in the Grenadines of St. Vincent might be recognized as a distinct species Phlyctaina griseirena.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
