Distribution: USA: Elko Co., NV. Similar Species: 9274 Acronicta lanceolaria Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: dentinosa (Freyer, [1838]) (Simyra) UNVER.   Type locality: Europe. leucaspis (Fischer de Waldheim, 1840) (Cucullia)   Type locality: Turkey. tendinosa (Herrich-Schäffer, 1848) (Symira [sic]) zeliha (Kornosor & Lödl, 1991) (Simyra)   Type locality: Volga [Russia]. Taxonomic Notes: Acronicta dentinosa (Freyer, [1838]) was introduced as a bio-control agent of Euphorbia esula in Elko Co., NV in 1994 (Kadrmas & Johnson 1994). Establishment of a breeding population is uncertain (Schmidt & Anweiler 2020).
