Taxonomic Notes: Acronicta dentinosa (Freyer, 1839) was introduced as a bio-control agent of Euphorbia esula in Elko Co., NV in 1994 (Kadrmas & Johnson 1994). Establishment of a breeding population is uncertain (Schmidt & Anweiler 2020).
