Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Malvaceae[Sterculiaceae].  Host genera: Fremontodendron Sphaeralcea.  Host extended: feeds on Malvaceae (Crabo et al 2014)...  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: major (Smith, 1900) (Acontia) - MONA 1983: 9152 Taxonomic Notes: Tarache major: Formerly placed in the genus Acontia.
