Similar Species:
  • 8467 Hemeroplanis scopulepes is larger and best separated by genitalia or DNA barcode.

Synonymy:
  • floccalis (Zeller, 1872) (Coptocnemia)
      Type locality: Texas.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Hemeroplanis floccalis (Zeller, 1872) is raised from synonymy of 8467 Hemeroplanis scopulepes (Haworth, 1809) in Troubridge (2020), Insecta Mundi, 0789: 16.
