NC south to MS and FL. MPG mapping is inaccurate especially from FL and west of MS with most referring to H. floccalis. |

FW length 12–14 mm. |

- 8467.1 Hemeroplanis floccalis is smaller and best separated by genitalia or DNA barcode.
