Type locality: Palmerlee, AZ.
Similar Species:
  • Macrurocampa alpina (Benjamin, 1932) is smaller and unknown west of eastern New Mexico.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy: Litodonta gigantea Barnes & Benjamin, 1924
Taxonomic Notes: Macrurocampa gigantea (Barnes & Benjamin, 1924), n. comb. in Miller et al. (2021), was formerly in the genus Litodonta.
