Distribution: British Columbia south to California. Similar Species: Hydrelia albifera (Walker, 1866) is replaced by brunneifasciata west of eastern Alberta (Forbes 1948:156). Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: brunneifasciata Packard 1876 (Asthena) - MONA 1983: 7424; Type locality: Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC
