Synonymy: meadii Packard 1874 (Scotosia) - MONA 1983: 7290 ssp. a. meadii Packard 1874 (Scotosia) - MONA 1983: 7290 badiaria Edwards 1885 (Triphosa) optimata Strecker 1899 (Philereme) ssp. b. atlantica Munroe 1954 (Coryphista) ssp. c. fumosa Comstock 1967 (Coryphista) Taxonomic Notes: Rheumaptera meadii (Packard, 1874), n. comb., is the type species of Coryphista Hulst, 1896. a genus synonymized with Rheumaptera in Brehm et al. (2019).
