Genitalia: See McDunnough (1951) and McDunnough (1954).
Similar Species:
  • Hydriomena transfigurata male has valva lacking the sclerotized hair extending from costobasal tubercle II found in pluviata. The anterior margins of the juxtal plate are rounded in transfigurata and sinuous in pluviata.
