Description/
Field Marks:
All identifications are tentative. There are two BIN groups for the genus at BOLD: BOLD:ABW8292 with specimens matching the original description of laredoata and BOLD:ABA1188 with specimens matching the original description of rusticaria. The true identity of each is unclear. It is also unclear if size or genitalia is useful.
Similar Species:
  • Protoproutia rusticaria typically is smaller, WS: ~16mm vs. ~20mm, and has basal two-thirds of hind wings lighter with lines more defined.
