Distribution: NV and CA. Genitalia: See Ferris (2009), J. Lep. Soc. 63(3) 166-168. Similar Species: 6819 Metanema inatomaria: DNA barcoding suggests that all records east of the Mississippi might brefer to brunneilinearia. Further research is needed. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: brunneilinearia Grossbeck 1907 (Metanema) - MONA 1983: 6962 Taxonomic Notes: Metanema brunneilinearia Grossbeck, 1907, formerly misplaced in the genus Synaxis, is returned to Metanema in Ferris (2009), J. Lep. Soc. 63(3) 166-168.
