Distribution: British Columbia to southern California, eastward to Alberta, Idaho and western Montana. From near 0 - 7,200 ft. elev.
Seasonality
and Size:
August to October. FWL ~ 18-24 mm.
Larva and
Host Plants:
Hosts include Cupressaceae and Pinaceae.
Genitalia: See Ferris & Schmidt (2010).
Similar Species:
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy:
  • pallulata Hulst 1887 (Tetracis) - MONA 1983: 6955
  • Taxonomic Notes: Tetracis pallulata Hulst, 1887, n. comb. in Ferris & Schmidt (2010), was formerly in the genus Synaxis.
