Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Betulaceae Cannabaceae[Ulmaceae] Cornaceae Ericaceae Fagaceae Hamamelidaceae Juglandaceae Malvaceae[Tiliaceae] Nyssaceae[Cornaceae] Oleaceae Rosaceae Salicaceae Sapindaceae Ulmaceae Vitaceae.  Host genera: Acer Amelanchier Betula Carya Castanea Crataegus Celtis Cornus Corylus Hamamelis Juglans Liquidambar Malus Nyssa Parthenocissus Prunus Quercus Rubus Salix Tilia Ulmus Vaccinium.  Notes: polyphagous on forest trees & shrubs (Zhang 1994); Many woody trees & shrubs (Wagner et al 2001); leaves (Wagner et al 1995).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species.
