Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: chephise (Stoll, in: Cramer, [1782]) (Phalaena) - MONA 1983: 6616 Taxonomic Notes: Melanchroia chephise (Cramer, 1782), incorrectly listed in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) with the genus spelling "Melanochroia", was corrected to Melanchroia in Parsons et al. (1999).
