Synonymy: • Thera bitactata Walker, 1862 • Heterophleps atrosignata Walker, 1862 • Itame epigenata Barnes & McDunnough, 1917 • Halia packardaria Möschler, 1883 Taxonomic Notes: Macaria bitactata (Walker, 1862), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
