Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: inextricata Walker, 1861 (Macaria) - MONA 1983: 6285 floridensis (Hulst, 1898) (Diastictis) inceptaria of authors; (not Walker, 1860) (Numeria) misappl. Taxonomic Notes: Macaria inextricata Walker, 1861, formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
