Synonymy:	inextricata (Walker, 1861) (Macaria) - MONA 1983: 6285 floridensis (Hulst, 1898) (Diastictis) inceptaria of authors; (not Walker, 1860) (Numeria) misappl.
Taxonomic Notes:	Speranza inextricata Walker, 1860, inferred revived combination, is a member of the brunneata group (Ferguson) which includes Speranza brunneata (Thunberg, 1784), rev. comb. (Õunap et al. 2024). The genus Speranza, rev. stat. (Õunap et al. 2024), was previously listed as a synonym of Macaria in Schmidt & McGuinness (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023) following the treatment in Sihvonen & Skou (2015).
