Synonymy: • Thamnonoma flavicaria Packard, 1876 • Diastictis subfalcata Hulst, 1896 Taxonomic Notes: Macaria flavicaria (Packard, 1876), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002). This species includes as a synonym 6277 Macaria subfalcata (Hulst, 1896), revised synonymy in Ferguson (2008).
