Synonymy: • Pterophorus serenus Meyrick, 1913 Taxonomic Notes: Hellinsia serenus (Meyrick, 1913) is treated as a synonym of 6210 Hellinsia balanotes in Gielis (2003). This taxon is listed as a full species in Matthews (2016), www.plumemoth.com, accessed May, 2017. Deborah Matthews (pers. comm. 05/26/2017) confirms that H. serenus is a full species.
