Distribution: Type locality: California. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Megaphysis edwardsialis Hulst, 1886 • Megasis polyphemella Ragonot, 1893 Taxonomic Notes: Megasis edwardsialis Hulst, 1886 was formerly listed listed in the genus Sarata, a name synonymized with Megasis in Leraut (2021). This treatment was overlooked by Scholtens & Hayden (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
