Description/
Field Marks:
Upper surface of the hindwing and the abdomen distinctly ochreous (Neunzig 2003).
Similar Species:
  • Ambesa walsinghami (Ragonot, 1887)
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy:
  • mirabella Dyar, 1908 (Ambesa)
      Type locality: San Diego, CA.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Ambesa mirabella (Dyar, 1908) is elevated from subsp. of 5760 Ambesa walsinghami (Neunzig 2003).
