Field Marks:
FW: 8-9 mm; overall color is darker than S. tytiusalis, males have a small, indistinct antennal scale tuft (or maybe two). - James Hayden (12/14/2020).
Similar Species:
  • Salbia tytiusalis is smaller, FWL: 6mm, and lighter - James Hayden (12/14/2020).
  • Salbia melanobathrum is smaller, FWL = ~6 mm; male with jet-black antennal tufts - James Hayden (12/14/2020).
