Distribution: Type locality: Honduras.
Description/
Field Marks:
FWL: 6 mm; male without antennal tufts; shading between the PM line and the margin is hardly distinct from the ground color and is practically continuous with the PM line - James Hayden (12/14/2020).
Similar Species:
  • Salbia mizaralis is larger, FW: 8-9 mm, and typically darker; males with small, indistinct antennal scale tuft (or maybe two) - James Hayden (pers. comm., 12/14/2020)
  • Salbia melanobathrum FWL = ~6 mm; male with jet-black antennal tufts; shading between the HW PM line and the margin is darker and distinctly separated from the PM line by the pale ground color - James Hayden (12/14/2020).
