Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Amaranthaceae[Chenopodiaceae].  Host genera: Chenopodium[unresolved].  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: 80a1009 Blepharomastix pseudoranalis: is slightly larger; has labial palp long and beak-like, not short as in ranalis; wings paler than AZ form of ranalis. 80a1008 Blepharomastix ranalis: from AZ and TX may at least in part include a cryptic species represented by BOLD BIN BOLD:ADF3182, see live image below by Charles Melton.
