Distribution: Quebec to Florida, west to Arkansas. Most records are from Maryland southward. Seasonality and Size: May-September. Forewing 5.4-6.2 mm (male), 7.0-8.5 mm (female). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: nearctica Davis & Davis, 2009 (Pelecystola) Taxonomic Notes: Pelecystola nearctica Davis & Davis, 2009, n. sp., ZooKeys, 25: 69-78.
