Taxonomic Notes: Anthocharis sara Lucas, 1852 is revised to include as subspecies only A. s. gunderi, A. s. pseudothoosa and A. s. sempervirens, with all other former valid subspecies referring to A. julia Edwards, 1872 and A. thoosa (Scudder, 1878) both raised from synonymy with A. sara to full species status in Stout (2018), Insecta Mundi, 0615: 1-38.
