Distribution: Neotype (coras): "USA: Pennsylvania, Montgomery Co., Flourtown"; the type locality “Suriname” was determined to be erroneous (Zhang et al. 2022).

Taxonomic Notes: Polites coras (Cramer, 1775), considered by some authors as a nomen dubium, includes as a synonym [4036] Polites peckius (Kirby, 1837) in Zhang et al. (2022) in which the type locality of coras is reassessed and a neotype is designated.
