Synonymy: gunniana (Busck, 1907) (Phalonia) - MONA 1983: 3827   Type locality: Holotype: "Maryland, Montgomery Co., Plummers Island". Taxonomic Notes: Thyraylia gunniana (Busck, 1907), formerly in the genus Cochylis, was number 3827 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
