Distribution: Type locality (discana): Cincinnati, OH. Type locality (cricota): unknown. Description/ Field Marks: See Razowski (1997: 130; figs. 89, 90 (♂ gen.)). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Phalonia discana Kearfott, 1907 • Phalonia cricota Meyrick, 1912 Taxonomic Notes: Thyraylia discana (Kearfott, 1907), formerly in the genus Cochylis, was number 3818 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
