Taxonomic Notes: Chamaesphecia crassicornis Bartel, 1912 was introduced from Europe into the USA in 1993 and into Canada in 1991 for biocontrol of Leafy Spurge (Euphorbia esula). Its current population status is uncertain. Winston et al. 2014.
