Synonymy: cockerella Busck 1903 (Abebaea) - MONA 1983: 2373; Type locality: MesillaPark, NM heteraula Meyrick 1927 (Melitonympha); Type locality: Alpine, TX Taxonomic Notes: Ypsolopha cockerella (Busck, 1903) includes as a synonym Ypsolopha heteraula (Meyrick, 1927) in Clarke (1965), a treatment apparently overlooked in Hodges et al. (1983) (Sohn in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
