Distribution: Type locality: near San Francisco, CA; Mendocino Co., CA. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Cerostoma cervella Walsingham, 1881 • Cerostoma subsylvella Walsingham, 1889 • Cerostoma electropa Meyrick, 1914 Taxonomic Notes: Ypsolopha cervella (Walsingham, 1881) includes as a synonym Ypsolopha electropa (Meyrick, 1914) (Sohn in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
