Taxonomic: Notes Aroga trilineella (Chambers, 1877) is apparently represented by BIN group BOLD:AFQ3343. This group includes specimen CNCLEP00210404, a male with genitalia that match Clarke’s (1969) illustration of the hypposaris type, as well as specimen USNMENT01452041, a dissected male determined by R. W. Hodges. However, the true identity of A. trilineella remains somewhat uncertain, as does the basis for synonymizing bispiculata (Meyrick) and hipposaris (Meyrick) under this name. Notably, the type series of trilineella is mixed, "One syntype is not conspecific with the other five" (Miller & Hodges 1990:66). (J.-F. Landry, in litt., 7 Aug 2026)
