Taxonomic: Notes Aristotelia corallina Walsingham, 1909, previously recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico in Kimball (1965) and Lee et al. (2009), is treated as unverified by Lee & Landry (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023). Specimens from north of Mexico identified as "corallina" in many collections and at BOLD appear to represent several cryptic species; it is unclear which, if any, refer to "true" corallina (Baer 2018).
Synonymy:
  • corallina Walsingham, 1909 (Aristotelia) unver. - MONA 1983: [NEW]; TL: Mexico: Guerrero: Amula [Almolonga].
  • Host Plants: Chamaecrista nictitans in MS, NC (Baer 2018) and Fl (Kimball 1965).
Vachellia cornigera in Mexico (Janzen 1967, Baer 2018).

Host familiy: Fabaceae.  Host genera: Chamaecrista.
