Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Aspleniaceae Athyriaceae[Dryopteridaceae] Diplaziopsidaceae[Dryopteridaceae].  Host genera: Asplenium Athyrium Homalosorus[=Diplazium].  Notes: on spores (Robinson et al 2002).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: aenea (Braun, 1918) (Erineda) - MONA 1983: [NEW]; TL: Cincinnati, OH; Clermont Co., OH. Taxonomic Notes: Stathmopoda aenea (Braun, 1918) was accidentally omitted from Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
