Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Poaceae.  Host genera: Bromus Dactylis Elymus[=Elythrygia] Lolium.  Notes: grasses (Poole 1989); grasses & sedges (Wagner et al 2011); specialist on Poaceae (Crabo et al 2014).  (Shropshire & Tallamy 2025 [accessed 6xii2025]) Similar Species: 932949 Leucania dia: a former synonym, is separated by DNA barcode and usually lacks a dark basal line below the white medial vein.
