Taxonomic Notes: |
Lacinipolia strigicollis (Wallengren, 1860) includes as a synonym 10416 Lacinipolia illaudabilis in Mustelin (2006), Zootaxa, 1278: 39.
The holotype of L. strigicollis, believed to be lost in Mustelin (2006), was relocated in the Swedish Museum of Natural History in 2022 (see image below). The holotype seems to most resemble L. bucketti Selman & Leuschner, 2001 and L. olivacea petita (Smith, 1901) and apparently does not support the synonymy of illaudabilis. The paratypes of petita and bucketti are relatively inseparable by DNA sequencing. |
