Distribution: Great Basin, CO and AZ. Type locality: Eureka, UT. Genitalia: ZooKeys, 788: figs. 30a-b Similar Species: 10151 Sympistis dunbari 10151.2 Sympistis ferrirena is typically larger with lines smoother and without black component doubled. Synonymy: • Oxycnemis definita Barnes & McDunnough, 1912 Taxonomic Notes: Sympistis definita: Elevated from synonymy of 10151 - Sympistis dunbari.
