Larva and Host Plants: Apple Similar Species: Phyllonorycter blancardella is part of a species group that includes 0784 - P. propinquinella and 0746 - P. crataegella. Within this group species are best distinguished by genitalia or DNA. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: blancardella (Fabricius, 1781) (Tinea) - MONA 1983: 0740 concomitella (Bankes, 1899) (Lithocolletis) pyrariella (Tutt, 1898) (Lithocolletis)
