Host familiy: Betulaceae Fagaceae Juglandaceae Lythraceae[Punicaceae] Salicaceae(?) Rosaceae. Host genera: Betula Castanea Chrysolepis Corylus Fagus Juglans Notholithocarpus Prunus Punica Quercus. Notes: nuts (Heinrich 1926); acorns & galls (Keen 1958); larvae feed in nuts & large galls (Powell & Opler 2009); galls of Besbicus mirabilis (JC Miller & Hammond 2003). (Shropshire & Douglas 2025)
