Taxonomic Notes: Macaria wauaria (Linnaeus, 1758) is recognized among the North American fauna north of Mexico (E. Canada, NE USA) and transferred to the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008). The genus Speranza is treated as a synonym of Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
