Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: coloradensis Hulst 1896 (Sympherta) - MONA 1983: 6289 aegaria Strecker 1899 (Macaria) Taxonomic Notes: Macaria coloradensis (Hulst, 1896), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
