Distribution: US southwest but apparently irruptive northeast to Ontario in 2020. DNA barcode for specimens from TX match those from Europe.Presumed to be introduced, Powell & Opler (2009). Synonymy: catalaunalis Duponchel [1833] (Botys) - MONA 1983: 5181; Type locality: Spain, Barcelona sionensis Caradja 1929 (Antigastra) venosalis Walker [1866] (Botys)
