Distribution: US southwest but apparently irruptive northeast to Ontario in 2020. DNA barcode for specimens from TX match those from Europe.Presumed to be introduced, Powell & Opler (2009). Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Bignoniaceae Fabaeae Pedaliaceae Plantaginaceae[Scrophulariaceae] Poaceae Solanaceae Verbenaceae.  Host genera: Anarrhinum Arachis Duranta Linaria Medicago Megathyrsus Oryza Penstemon Phaseolus Pisum Sesamum Solanum Tecoma Triticum.  Notes: leaf tier (Powell & Opler 2009).  (Shropshire & Tallamy 2025 [accessed 6xii2025]) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species.
