Distribution: The single mapped point in Kentucky (report of three specimens plus one observation, all in 1955) may likely have been due to inadvertent transportation of an egg mass or larvae into the State - Beebe (1955). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Phalaena pyrina Linnaeus, 1761 • Zeuzera decipiens Kirby, 1892
