Taxonomic Notes: "Zeuzera" masoni Schaus, 1892, rev. comb., prov. pl. (Young in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023), is recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico from Texas in Blanchard & Knudson (1985). This species was transferred to the genus Psychonoctua in Blanchard & Knudson (1985) and then to Aramos in Schoorl (1990:125). In synonymizing Aramos with Brypoctia, Yakovlev, et al. (2019:408) excluded masoni from both Brypoctia and Psychonoctua leaving it's placement undetermined.
