Distribution: Type locality: Petaluma, Sonoma Co., CA. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Chionodes johnstoni Clarke, 1947 Taxonomic Notes: Chionodes johnstoni Clarke, 1947, revised status in Hodges (1999), was formerly a synonym of 2080 Chionodes gilvomaculella (Clemens, 1863). This species is a member of the "abella-complex”.
