Synonymy: johnstoni Clarke 1947 (Chionodes); Type locality: Petaluma, Sonoma Co., CA Taxonomic Notes: Chionodes johnstoni Clarke, 1947, revised status in Hodges (1999), was formerly a synonym of 2080 Chionodes gilvomaculella (Clemens, 1863). This species is a member of the "abella-complex”.
