Distribution: USA: Texas to Florida north to Michigan. Description/ Field Marks: See Koster (2010), Zool. Med. 84(10): 298; figs. 23, 125, 208, 311. Genitalia: See Koster (2010) Similar Species: Cosmopterix quadrilineella Cosmopterix minutella Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: callichalca (Meyrick, 1922) (Cosmopteryx); TL: Brazil. dicacula Hodges, 1962 (Cosmopterix); Holotype: Gainesville, FL. Taxonomic Notes: Cosmopterix callichalca (Meyrick, 1922) includes as a synonym Cosmopterix dicacula Hodges 1962 [1481], Zool. Med. 84(10): 298.
