Phiaris glaciana (Möschler, 1860), n. comb., was formerly placed in Olethreutes (Gilligan et al. 2020).

Castorana (McDunnough, 1922) is treated as a synonym of Phiaris bipunctana in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023) but it apparently lacks the several cornuti in the phallus of that species and differs in the shape of the valval neck and cucullus.
